M1 Pro/Max with external Monitors (Fan / Heat / Performance)

Hi there,

While everybody is running the same benchmark test I'm wondering: How are the new M1s dealing with external monitors? On my 2019 i9 that was a reason to get an eGPU to not have the machine always running the fans and heat up. Has anybody been using the new 16.2 inch Macs with external monitors? If yes, can you comment on fan speed, heat and performance?

I am using an external 27" 4k screen and it makes no difference on temperature. 44 degrees with fan off either connected or not connected.

I used my new 14 pro (10/16) with my 32 inch 4K display and it was cool to the touch. Did not look for exact Temperatur stats though. Definitely a huge improvement to the intel Mac before.

Using my 14" M1 Pro with 4K 32" display and on the office two 24" FHD displays never hearing the fan.
