Upgraded my M1 Studio Base Max to to the latest Sonoma 14.7 update late yesterday and then Sequoia this morning with no apparent issues.
I later discovered that since I had both Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet connections, when I disabled Wi-Fi, the Ethernet connection failed to negotiate 10 GB to my HP switch and remained inactive. When I plugged it in a 1 GB on the switch, it auto-negotiated and the port lit up automagically.
I ended manually configuring the IP address/mask/router/dns servers and hard coding speed 10 GB and duplex to get it up and running. Never a problem on prior macOS releases.
Edit: something is definitely not good with Sequoia wired and wireless network drivers.
The wired Ethernet connection went semi-unreliable so I switched back to WiFi. This morning WiFi throughput was abysmal (none of my other pre-Sequoia or non-Mac systems were affected). A reboot made no improvement so I switched back to manually configured 10 GB connection for now.
