I have an M1 Ultra Studio with a Promise Pegasus R32 RAID attached. I have my editing projects and media on the RAID. Recently when I hit Save in Premiere and After Effects, it takes anywhere from 5 to 20 seconds to save the projects. I have done troubleshooting with Adobe and my internal IT dept. If I move only the project file to my desktop, is saves instantly. I even moved the project to an attached SSD and had the same slow saves. I wiped the computer entirely and re-installed everything and the issue persists.
Has anyone else had this issue? We're starting to think a recent OS update might be the culprit. One last symptom that started around the same time, my trash takes minutes or hours to empty. Very frustrating.

Thanks for any intel!

Yes. It seems files on the Desktop empty from the trash in an instant but any external drive (The RAID or single SSD drives) all take a long time to empty the trash. The RAID is Thunderbolt 3, I think the SSD is Thunderbolt 4. Also, saving project files from Adobe Apps (Premiere & AE) to the external drives take 5 to 20 seconds. Saves to those same projects moved to the desktop are instant.

Spent a solid 3 hours on the phone with Apple Support. The problem went away in Safe Mode but the Promise Pegasus RAID did not mount in Safe mode either. Although any external drive is slow to empty the trash, it's kind of looking like the Promise RAID software might be part of the cause...
