There is no fixit for the M2 2022 iPad Pro. I'm trying to find out if it has the same cellular modem, the X65, as the iPhone 14 Pro Max which I own.
I'm on iPhone yearly upgrade and the X65 performs much better at signal margins than does the X60. I already own the M1 iPad Pro which has the same Qualcomm Modem as the iPhone 12.

I can tell you this... When I have my M2 iPad and my iPhone 12 pro max in the same place, the ipad is way better at getting signal.

At my house (lousy reception) my 12 Pro Max is getting 1 bar of 5G from T-Mobile.. maxing out at 26mbps down and .75 up.

The iPad in the same place is getting 5GUC with ~30 down and only .5up.

So it seems the iPad is definitely better at grabbing that midband. However... it could also be due to a different antenna array.

Thank you.

Anyone having a comparison to the 13 or better 14 iPhone lineup? The iPhone 12 lineup has a far inferior x55 modem compared to the x60 or even x65 in iPhone 13 and 14 lineup. My iPad Mini 6 and iphone 13 mini both have similar good speeds here where I live. But if I get 130-150 instead of 80-100 it would be a big deal for me.

I am considering ordering an iPad Pro M2 5g just because of a possible x65 modem to make it my replacement for a dsl router. And I want the latest possible x65 chip in it for that much money. Of course x70 is the latest now in early 2023 for samsung and co. But not for apple products.
