My MacBook Air M2 (15.0.1) is playing up today, just as I have to finish several important projects. The display stays black, even after several restarts, plugging in and out of the external display, and installing the latest update.

I worked on it all last night, folded it shut, and took it in my backpack to my desk this morning. I connected it to my charger and to an external BenQ monitor via Thunderbolt 3. Upon opening the MacBook again, the screen was black. The external showed a system message "Computer had to restart because of an issue". The external display works great, and my laptop screen shows no issues in System settings.

Does anyone know what happened? I'm aiming to take it to a Genius Bar, but I'm out of warranty and I really hope it's a simple issue.
