Wondering if anyone has thoughts on this. I have a 2020 intel MBA. I like it but I HATE the battery. That’s the only complaint I have. I got one with i5 and 16GB of ram. If it wasn’t for the battery I’d keep it happily but I find I have to charge it every few hours.

I was considering getting a base model M2 MBA. Seems great but actually pricey. I can afford to buy it, but I don’t know if it’s justified for the battery (I’m aware of the other upgrades!). With educational discounts it’s 1149 Plus a nice £120 gift card (potentially for new airpods In the future?) so that’s closer to about 1030 in price reallt.

However, I was in John Lewis, a UK based department store and they had an M1 MBP for £700. This is because the charger is missing. I can get a charger for 50-60 (67w) so that’s basically 765. I would have happily taken this but the laptop isn’t eligible for AppleCare anymore.

Any thoughts on which one I should take? A new MBA or a returned M1 MBP?

Thanks for your insight!
