I ordered an M2 MBA for my dear wife on July 17th. I expected it to arrive some time in August. No rush as my wife will probably not notice the difference between the 2022 machine and her 2017 13" MBA. She will probably complain that the screen seems smaller (fooled by the bezel). So it goes.

I checked the Apple store now and then and was always told that the was was processing or some such thing.

Today I received email telling me that the MBA had shipped. Nice surprise.

Then I checked the "track shipment" page and was mystified to see that it had shipped on July 2, just over two weeks before I ordered it. You have to hand it to a company that knows its customers so well. Perhaps as a shareholder I get special premonition treatment.

Unfortunately, it will be delivered, signature required, between August 2nd and 5th, when we will be away from home. How come Apple didn't know about our plans?

Just kidding.

(I had to add that because some people seem to take everything so seriously.)

You can call Apple and have UPS/Fedex hold it in your city's main hub.
It’s coming by DHL. They will call before delivery. We can arrange a suitable date then.

BTW, DHL fixed the shipping date error changing it from July 2nd to the 25th.
