Hi-

Anyone know if the old BaseQi or any other of the “shortened” SD card adapters fit the new MacBook Pros?

It was always so handy to have an extra drive available on the older models without having anything extra sticking out.

OK. I tried it out in my friend’s MBP. It’s a PERFECT fit.

In fact, Transcend lists the Early-2015 and the current MBPs in the same bracket when talking about compatibility.

Awesome.

do you use this, if so do you keep it permanently plugged in? and if so, does that not slow the boot time of the machine as it tries to read attached drives etc
I leave it in most of the time, except when transferring files from my camera’s SD card. I have not noticed any increase in boot times.
Also, if you format it for Mac it will join your Time Machine backup (if you use this).
