hello community,
I currently still have a MacBook Pro Late 2013 and would like to replace it with a newer model.
I mainly use the Mac to edit 4K videos with Davinci Resolve and to edit photos with Photoshop and Lightroom.
Now I'm not sure whether I should go for the Apple M3 Max chip, 36 GB RAM, 30-core GPU, 1 TB SSD or the Apple M4 Pro chip, 48 GB RAM, 20-core GPU, 1 TB SSD.
What would you recommend?

I'm more in favor of the M3 max for the Gpu, which will be more useful, the 36gb ram is enough, and if you can find a second-hand M3 max 16/40 48gb, then there's no debate.

For example, I use lightroom's denoise function a lot on my M3 max, which uses all the GPU's power and only takes 12 seconds on average to create a dng with a raw from a sony A1 50MPX. on an M4 pro it will take longer, so I suggest you take a look at the “Art is right” youtube channel, which will give you some answers. they will soon be testing the M4 range and comparing it to the old apple silicon.

The M4 Pro [by leaked benchmark only] is more powerful than the M3 Max. My recommendation is to wait for the full benchmarks this weekend.

Le M4 Pro [uniquement selon les résultats des tests] est plus puissant que le M3 Max. Je vous conseille d'attendre les tests complets de ce week-end.
Not at all on the test of the verge on a 4k export on premiere pro 1min18 for the m4 max and 1min30 M3 max the only thing where I see it faster the m4 pro and the M3 max it is the cpu is really minimal of minimal
