M3 Pro vs M4 Pro 14" Macbook Pro?

Quick post, looking to purchase a new laptop for my wife, Microcenter has the M3 Pro 14" MBP with 1TB for $1,619.99, and I can get the M4 Pro 14" MBP 1TB for $2199 from Apple EDU store.

My question is, there is enough of a price gap that I'm thinking the M3 Pro would be a better deal. My wife mainly used the laptop to browse the web, social media etc, nothing CPU/GPU intensive. She is coming from a 2017 15" MBP.

What are your thoughts? With taxes and everything the M3 Pro is almost $500 cheaper. Thanks!

Looks like the 14" M3 Pro is a better deal than the 15 M3 Air, plus I think the extra ports are a bonus on the Pro

consider m4 base. similar to m3 pro performance but will be supported for longer.
