Hi, I'm currently debating over two models for the Black Friday sales which are the same prices:

Is it preferable to get more RAM or the newer chip? I would be using it for general daily use (e.g. streaming, emails, a lot of tabs) and music production. I'd also like the laptop to last a good while. My current 2015 Macbook Pro is doing ok but I can tell it's on its last legs so I'm hoping my next Macbook will also last another decade.

If you're currently on a 2015 MacBook Pro either will be a huge upgrade.

The M4 Pro is a massive step up from the M3 Pro this generation in terms of performance, particularly with track playback quantity in logic, etc. How much RAM do you have in your 2015? For the workload you describe, my 16 GB M1 Pro was fine.
