Hi guys I updated my router to a TP link BE65 Pro which operates on a 6ghz line
I’ve disabled 2.4 and only enabled 5 and 6ghz 160mhz, wpa3) to use the same SSID. I’ve disabled MLO.
The iPhone 16 connects well to the router on 6ghz.
All my 11 other apple gadgets connect good to the 5ghz band.
The iPad m4 and my MacBook Pro m3 which both have a wifi 6E chipset are both not behaving well
They connect to the 6ghz band without issues but my throughout is stuck at 200mb/sec even though the negotiated rate in wifi shows 2401Mb/sec.
My provider gives me a gig down and my iPhones on 6ghz have no problems giving this.
So I decided to
1. Force the iPad and MacBook to connect to 5ghz and the same issue still persist
2. Turned off wifi 6E (automatic to off) in each device wifi settings
Still no go and the speeds are stuck at 200+
My old router in comparison gave me 800+ on the 5ghz band
So I’m not sure if it’s the router or the wifi 6e chip in both the iPad and MacBook that is have an issue.
Both updated to iOS 18.01 and Sequoia
