Anyone have the new Apple Pencil Pro? Is it possible to turn off the Barrel roll feature for tasks like taking notes?

I'm sure it is, but to actually utilize the barrel roll, you have to use a specific brush that supports it. A circular brush (like used in notes) is not going to be affected anyway. So, unless you're in something like, say, Procreate with a brush that supports it, you're not going to see a difference with it on or off in apps like Notes.

And sheesh, give it a chance? Why would you turn it off?

I don't have it yet so I can't say what the functionality is like at all, hence my question, but I suspect that Barrel roll will be most useful when doing creative work like sketching.

From my experience taking notes using Goodnotes with a 2018 iPP and Apple Pencil 2, I like the uniformity. So, depending on whether it can be turned off, I would either upgrade to the outgoing M2 iPP or the M4 iPP. Either have more than enough processing power.
