The video is fake. There is no way his deck would be setup that way by default on a new device. The video also never shows the system specs screens.
Mark Gurman, the Apple leaker for Bloomberg, believes it's real. Lol, a Chinese factory worker really stole a Macbook and sold it to someone in Russia. I'd love to imagine how pissed Jobs would be about this today.

Looks pretty legit. If I hadn't just gotten a great deal on a 15" M3 MBA, I would be all over the base model M4 MBP, especially with the RAM upgrade and space black colorway. In any case, we're only a couple weeks out from a reveal so the truth with come out soon enough!
That's M3 Pro, not M3. Base M3 had 8GB, and a bump of 16GB for M4 is rumoured... so this would be expected.
M4 14" MacBook Pro gets not just 3 Thunderbolt ports, but 3 x Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 ports, meaning not only 1 extra USB-C port but also dual external monitor support, compared to M3's 2 x Thunderbolt 3 / USB 4 with single external monitor support.

If true, going by MultiCore scores:
Better than M3 Pro (68%/90%/98% Vs. M4 10 core depending on 8, 11, 12 core... not an M3 Max 124%)
About equal to M2 Max (100.2%)
Better than M1 Max (80%... not an Ultra 120%)
Having an iPad, MacBook Air, or iMac that's got this much power... that's insane. And that's just the base level CPU. Curious to see where the Pro and Max end up.
If you look closely at the back of the box, the configuration says "SPB/10C CPU/10C GPU/16GB/512GB", which would indicate Space Black.
Now we have your word vs his word, who should we believe?! 🙀
