M4 Max (unbinned) Coil Whine running LLMs

Hi folks - I've seen a few threads on this, but not example sounds.

Is this level of coil whine normal running an LLM?

There is a video on the other reddit post that you should be able to see.
Yours sounds slightly worse than normal, but not anywhere close to what my first M4 Max machine was. If the machine is otherwise fine I would probably keep that.

I hear coil whine on my M4 Pro when running a local model on llama.cpp. My work M1 Max has much less coil whine when running the same model. It’s annoying.
