well, was waiting for a super special deal on a base M4 Pro, but looks like $200 off is the limit. that is about the same as eventual refurb pricing. good as it will get for now?
 
Who knows? Take your chances and buy now, or later. You may find a better deal, you may not. If you need it, or want it, then buy when it feels right. Waiting and playing the numbers game hoping for a better deal is always a risk. $200 off on the base model is as good as I have seen, from several major retailers. I personally don't think it will get much better. Cyber Monday is three days away and I don't think the price drops will be any better.

I have been looking too. B&H photo has some models at $300 off. Someone also showed me if you use their credit card they take the sales tax off so saved another $126 that way too.

i live near nh. i could order through best buy for store pick up and save sales tax.

I did that for my GS, or Delaware when I was in the DelMarVa area.

I suspect the margins on Apple products don't support the discounts we see on PCs.
