MA206LL/A only 2gb ram?

My 2006 Mini supports 3Gb, with each chip being 2Gb. No idea why your's doesn't. With the broken audio, have you checked that you plugged the audio board back in?
 
I did nothing special. Just put the ram in and started it up. Are you sure you have the correct ram type?
