As in the title – I have iMac 2013 which I use on a daily basis. I also have a laptop with Windows and I would like to use my Mac as an external monitor for the laptop. I bought a thunderbolt 2 cable and an adapter from thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 (my laptop has thunderbolt 3, not USB C but thunderbolt).
In theory, I should be able to launch the target display mode because the two computers are linked via thunderbolt, but it does not work. I press command F2 and nothing – does anybody have any ideas or had similar experiences?
Thank you in advance for any help.

I am pretty sure this only works for Mac to Mac. And the iMac that is going into TDM needs to be 27".
