I am a complete novice to Mac's so apologies in advance...

I have the chance to buy a Mac Pro 1.1 (I think) for £1,000/$1,600 and don't know if it's worth the money or not. The spec is:

Quad 2.66 core
6GB RAM
1TB Hard Disk
NVidia GForce 7500GT Graphics
Will come with a fresh install of OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard)

Will also come with a couple of monitors

I have big concerns over the graphics card but reading some of the other threads I can update this if necessary.

I won't be using any ultra demanding applications

Any help is appreciated...

What monitors does it come with? First gen Mac Pros aren't really worth more than 1000$ so unless the monitors are really worth the extra 600$, I would try to negotiate a lower price.

It comes with 2x NEC MultiSync 70GX2.

Seemed a good deal to begin with but the more I've dug the less it appears so.

Four years old no less!

Such a shame as a can't find anything decent out there for less than £1000.

I don't have the patience for saving and I'm not a fan of the iMac so will probably look at other machines.

Thanks for the assistance.

Looks good, your help is really appreciated, could have made a massive foul up there.
