One of the things I've been wondering when researching my inevitable cross-grade from Horror-Vista to OSX is what is going on on the Apple Sound side?
PC sound is all I have, and I'm quite happy with my X-Fi. It is however a 5.1 system. I recall ancient mac days when all PC could speak was <B#e3!P> and Macs had full stereo editing. Is there a 5.1 or 7.1 sound board for mac?
If not: What happened?
