Why does Apple advertise iPods with childish ovies on their screens (cars or the incredibles or ratatouille). I know they are all Pixar and Steve works for Pixar and bladi, blaaa...

I'm just a 12 year old kid (almost 13:D) and don't care about that but how do you 18+ guys feel about it??

I have no problem with it. Those movies are awesome. Of course, when I was 12 I might have thought it to be a bit childish too.

i have no problem with it. those movies kicked butt. they were wonderful, and why not use 'em? they're instantly recognizable, which helps too.

A geographical oddity
Plus you get the vibrant colors of animation and the likely lower cost to use the images.

I thought this was why the T/S require you to be 13 to get an account on MR...just sayin'

We would like more of that 18+ stuff, please!! :D

Didn't Apple also use U2 (original 5G iPod), "School of Rock" :)apple:TV) and "Pirates" (5.5G iPod)?

They need a broader appeal. I'm partial towards "Stargate" but now that Sony's online media store is starting up, I'd wouldn't be suprised if Sony pulled all its stuff off of iTunes...

You may think it sucks now, but there will come a time when you will look back on being 12 as one of the best times of your life. Steve Jobs no longer owns Pixar, but the studio still makes wonderful films. You may think that Apple places too much emphasis on animated films, but Saturday Night Live sees over emphasis on an entirely different entertainment. The show parodied Job's obsession with the NBC-TV comedy, The Office.

I'm quite sure that Pirates of the Caribbean has a broader appeal than Stargate SG-1.
