I need to download a previously purchased app from the Mac app store; the copy on my Mac was damaged and I deleted it. But the App Store only shows "open" for the app, and clicking that does nothing. How do I force the app to download?

Thanks,

John

you could still have a .bom file still lingering about in macOS that you could see if you have the app's .bom and .plist here:
Code:
/private/var/db/receipts/

Are you downloading again from your account by clicking on the bottom left in the Mac App Store where your image and account name is?

You can copy the above path to the clipboard and choose Finder -> Go -> Go to Folder

Thanks for the suggestion. Using the path you provided I found the .bom and .plist files and deleted them. I'm still having problems and the App store only offers an "open" option. I've gone to the game's tech support to ask for suggestions on how to completely delete it and hopefully that will do the trick.
