I am having a serious issue. Every time I put in my password for my Mac, I get a loading status bar. It gets about 90% done and then the computer reboots. Every single time.
I know the password is correct because when I do the wrong password, the text field shakes and I get no loading bar.
This has happened so many times that now when the computer boots back up, there is some text that comes up saying "You seem to be having some trouble logging in. If you are having problems with your password, hold down the power button to shut down. Then press the power button again to boot into the Recovery OS." Something along those lines is what comes up. I follow those instructions and hit a check box saying my password isn't working. It tells me to input my password to unlock "Macintosh HD." Then it asks for my password for my Apple ID and 4 digit code from my iPhone. Then it asks me to reset my password for the machine. I do that, but I get an error message once I click continue on the password reset page.
This all started after opening Mail. All of my accounts were offline. I had no idea why. None of them would work, but they work fine on all my other devices. So I deleted all my mail accounts and was going to add them back. After deleting my last account, my iCloud, I went to readd it. It asked to send a 4 digit code to my iPhone and I told it to. The code never came and the popup in Mail asking for the code said there was an error connecting to the server to send the code. I checked Chrome to make sure I was connected to the internet and I was. So I rebooted to see if that would help and now I can't log on. I'm in a time crunch and need to get this working ASAP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
