So I've been thinking that blogging is something of a killer app. Does that make sense? I'm trying to say that tools like blogger.com and Moveable Type are putting amazingly easy publishing power into the hands of the people. I get the feeling that Apple's .mac and iLife tools are designed to make the computer a part of our lives, and Apple has always been committed to making the computing experience as human as possible. Why isn't a blogging tool part of .mac?
Head on over to Type Pad and take a look around. The screenshots are obviously taken on a Mac running OSX. Type Pad is based on open standards, just like Safari. It seems like the perfect technology for Apple to adopt and incorporate into .mac. I have a .mac subscription, but I pay extra for blogger.com (I'll probably switch to Type Pad when it's ready). Apple needs to incorporate a blogging program into .mac
Any thoughts? Ideas? Is this old news? Does my butt look big?
