Hi,

I have two 16" MBP(2019 touch bar and 2021 M1 Max) are linked to share 3 Apple bluetooth devices(MagicMous, TouchPad and wireless keyboard). I noticed these 3 devices get disconnected very frequently like every 15 mintues. I have to try to reconnect everything. It's really annoying. I've tried restarting both MBPs, turn on/off bluetooth, all the standard protocols. None seemed to solve the problem. Can anyway give me some advice?

Thanks.

I was under the impression these bluetooth input devices can only actively pair w/ one device at a time.

When two MBP are placed in close proximity, MacOS detects you're using two laptops at the same time. So the display setting allows you to set which MBP can be used as "Linked keyboard and mouse", the other options is to be used as "Extended/Mirrored Display". If one of the MBP is set as "Linked", the same set of keyboard, mouse, trackpad can be used across two different MBPs.
