Mac Book Air and Apple Watch Ultra 2 - Unlocking

My Mack Book Air is relatively new and so is my watch. Can anyone tell me why my Mac Book Air keeps ignoring my Apple Watch Ultra 2 to unlock. There is no time or reason, but it's 100% bugging the crap out of me. I have to go into settings and resetting it.

OK, let me put on my technical hat. I have the Mac Book Air 13in M3 2024. I am running Sequoia 15.3, and I elected to have my Mac Book Air to be unlocked by my Apple Watch Ultra 2, running 11.2, But I am waiting to update this tonight. My Apple Watch does in deed unlock my computer, but then it stops doing it and I have to keep resetting it. This is very annoying. I hope to God I put in all to make sense on my concern. Thank you.
