Are the multiports strong enough to provide audio and video to a tv? I have a 2023 MacBook Pro with multi port adapter. I can’t hook it up to my tv like my old Mac laptop.

I have the HDMI cord plugged into the multi port and into my roku tv (2023) and the picture is there but the audio isn’t. The audio breaks and isn't steady. It’s all choppy. Any input (no pun intended) is welcome.

Doesn't your laptop come with an HDMI port so you can go HDMI to HDMI? Either way, you may want to check the settings on boht your laptop and your Roku TV as well as consider is your HDMI cable the problem? Does your TV have more than one HDMI port? Tried another with same issues? As for being strong enough, that is not an issue audio is just another layer in a stream. Does your media file on your Mac have more than one type of audio? Did you try another?
