I have a Mac Book Pro which periodically runs really slow (ie it takes ~30 seconds to a minute to open applications and folders). Eventually, it will return to normal. Here are the specs:
Processor: 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo
Memory: 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2

I've run TechTool Deluxe on it and everything checks out fine with the exception of the surface scan...program hangs up there and I have to skip it.

I've also run virus scan and comes up clean.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

clean the cache and repair permissions

if you don't know how use a utility like main menu.
