Hi, I have had my mac book pro 2015 [ with blacked / broken screen] connected via HDMI cable to a tv monitor and it always worked fine and I could see everything on the TV monitor. But now it stopped working and nothing shows up in the TV monitor. I tried turning it on and immediately shut the lid to force it to display as I read that might work, but it still does not show up on the TV monitor. Before it would appear right away on the second screen...any ideas on what I could do?

now i see the white apple logo on black screen [ on the tv monitor ] and it shows a reset password screen and asking me what my logging in problem is, if I forgot pass, or my pass not working or if my keyboard is not working. neither really apply...I just cant see the screen when I am trying to log in...

its giving me an option to disable firevault should I just do that and it will all work?

What works for my broken mbp screen:
Make sure the laptop is connected to a power supply
Connect the HDMI cable.
power on the laptop
press cmd + F1 -should mirror the displays. Closing the lid did not work for me when you are sitting at the password reset button (but try it)

Hopefully this should get you going.
