obviously it will be a lot faster, but if there is no rush to upgrade wait for at least the 2nd revision to allow all the teething problems to be ironed out.

I would say no. I personally think the G4 does pretty well. Unless you really need that last bit of performance, I wouldn't bother. On that same note, if you were a person that needed to be on the bleeding edge of performance all the time, I doubt you would ask in here if it was worth the upgrade.

Depends entirely on what you want to do with the machine.

I would only upgrade to a MacBook Pro if you feel that you need the extra speed. If you can manage with your 1.67GHz PowerBook G4 until they come out with a Rev B or Rev C intel Mac, then that would probably be the best thing to do.
