Would you rather iPad OS with catalyst R-E or Mac OS on iPad. What I mean is if you can use catalyst to put iPad OS and iOS apps on Mac, can you put Mac apps on iPad, if so that would be great, so you could use Xcode and final cut, and main stage, and logic and the other Mac desktop applications on ipad. That would make the iPad a real laptop replacement and it doesn’t even need to be touchscreen able to use, cause people are okay using Mac without touchscreen and that would be a great seller for magic keyboard. Free suggestion, Apple.

The interface is the biggest drawback to Mac apps on iOS, since you lose things like cursor precision and you pretty much always need a keyboard. Not to mention porting to iPhone would seriously restrict the screen real estate, and some Mac apps would be unusable on an iPhone size screen. Some people like me love to have multiple windows open at once, and iOS so far is a "fullscreen" OS

If those problems were solved, then sure, it would probably be a feasible option for a lot of people who need the touchscreen and form factor
