Someone sent an email logging into my yahoo account to a group of people. One of the recipients on a list was my friend Jim. His only address I had in my inbox was Jim@mac.com.
I’ve got a call from one of the people on the list and he forward that email to me.
I looked at the cc list and saw that Jim’s address was Jim@me.com.
Is it possible that mac.com somehow converted itself into me.com on a route from my Yahoo account to all these people?

What I meant to ask was:
Is it possible that email address Acb@mac.com converted itself into Abc@me.com while on a route to the recipient.

Its been over 10 years since I worked with DNS, but I believe the DNS MX records can be setup for this if the domain name is changing by using the CNAME command. Sort of like call forwarding.
