There is a Mac Expo in London on Thursday right?

Will there be an expo? With Steve Jobs?

Probably they will show: MacBook Pro (64 bits), Leopard preview, iPhone preview, more about "iTV", iPod Touch screens and more.

Where did you hear this?

Does your friend's uncle's cousin's father in-law work for Apple?:)

It is Thursday to saturday at the Olympiad in London. There is never anything new there so dont get your hopes up guys.

So it is Thursday today! Is someone reporting from there? Something happening there? :p

Its a non event for product releases. Ive been a few times. Spent about an hour there each time then went to pub.

The day sort of goes. 6am catch train to London. 10am arrive London. Head to Expo. 11am Whip round stalls picking up free stuff. 12pm go to pub. 2pm stay in pub. 4pm think about leaving pub. 5pm catch train go home. 6pm go to pub. :D

No mate, nothing is happening there. Apple will not be showing anything new and Steve will not be there. All the show is is a big gathering of the handful of Mac software/hardware developers in a little room and the rest of the hall is for iPod accessory makers. Apple might have an official presence but there will be no keynote or any announcements at the show. If there were to be any products released it would happen online like they did when Apple Expo Paris was on, Apple held an event in San Fran that reduced press interest in AEP to basically zero.

The next big Apple event is Macworld San Francisco in January next year.

I was going today, but I got off to a late start. Anyone ready to report back yet? I'd just like an idea of whether it's worth the parking hassle.

I went last year and it was crap and boring. I've no idea how much "official" parking at Olympia costs, but FYI it costs 80p/half-hour to park on the street in Hammersmith & Fulham. Of course parking is pretty busy around here anyway but you might be lucky!

I went two years ago when it was at the much smaller Design Centre in Islington. To be fair, all the big names were there (MS, HP, Epson, Adobe, Quark, etc) and Apple had a big stand and lots of presentations. It's a good opportunity to get your hands on the latest kit, but there's never anything new.

Well i went today. All in all, it was pretty dull but some of the stands really knew there stuff and it was interesting to understand how some products work that i havent used before. There are 2 places that give out T-shirts; google seminars and Shure (their headphones are awesome), Sony are giving out free bags and that is about it. Oh and ask the rapidweaver guy for his T-shirt, it is really cool and one guy went on a 5 minute rant about how long it took him to get his.

mwuk

i went thursday from an apr and would say it was the best for a couple of years. less ipod and more connectivity. good to see the mac mini making so many peripherals from 3rd party vendors. Computers Unlimited with there senos and envious where the best stands. Sorry but guys why do u sit at the adobe stand for soooo long, if you had brains you would of aleady asked your questions at adobe big live events when the software had just come out. what could you possible need to know this late in the day.

PS: Adobe where is CS Suite Universal?
PPS: How much money will most of thos standees make back? there products are empty untested software chasing the leaders. . . .
PPS: Well done intego. Great stand, software taking off where symantec decided to drop.
