i don't know if there's any way to fix this.. but when i use the remote to use the frontrow to listen to music.. it lists many of the artists more than once when i view artists. and under each folder are different songs. i'd like if all songs by that artist could simply be put in one folder instead of two or three. it's no big deal really..rather just irritating. thanks

Well the artist list, I believe, is straight from your itunes library, so if you have duplicate names there in your library because of spaces added to the end or whatnot then both will show up in front row. So I guess fixing up your origination of your music is about the only way to fix this duplication. Of course I haven't played to much with Front Row so someone else might have a better answer.

Yeah, Front Row uses the iTunes library...so its a problem with that, not Front Row.

Like Benjamin said, you might have some duplicate songs, although I would have though they'd be under the same artist foler

Try first off to see if duplicate songs are the problem :D

Might be your iTunes library needs some maintenance. I've found artists in my library spelled differently and therefore they had different folders. (i.e. Rolling Stones and The Rolling Stones, typos). Easiest way to find these is by scrolling through artists on your iPod.

In your library, group songs by artist. Select them all and do a Get Info. Rename the artist and it will apply to all songs.
