I recently bought a macbook and having tried to install bootcamp i then wanted to partition my HD back to 1 big partition

I booted the installation Disk and ran idisk then managed to erase my OSX partition.
I don't think it is a secure erase as it took less than a second.

Anyways, can someone please recommend a restoration software? I have alot of photos and documents on the disk which are irreplaceable...

i have another computer with windowsxp and macdrive installed besides that i don't have another mac.

not sure if it will work, but for Windows i used linux live cd's to recover data from hd's when i accidentally erased a partition without overwriting it. The live cd that worked for me was Knoppix.

Hopefully that would help.
