Hi,

I have a 200GB partition where Windows Vista is installed and about 550GB for OS X. Every thing's on the same HD!
Furthermore, I have 500GB LaCie drive for Time Machine backups.
My iTunes Music library is stored in the Music folder on OS X!

Is it possible to use/import the same library in Win-iTunes or will that corrupt the folder structure, XML database, or anything else on Mac OS X?
I can't risk to destroy my Mac iTunes Library because I've invested a huge amount of time to built it!
But, on the other hand, I can't keep a duplicate library for Vista either, because it's about 210GB!

Would WinAMP be an alternative?

Thanks.

I was wondering if anyone can help me out.

I have a MBP and am running Vista on Bootcamp. I am working on sharing my ITUNES Music libraries between Mac OSX and Vista.

I installed MacDrive and can now access my Mac OSX drive from Vista. When I browse the Mac drive in Vista, i can clearly see the ITUNES library file in /users/accountname/music/itunes folder.

The weird thing is that when I start ITunes in Vista, and hold down the SHIFT key and I click the "Choose Library" link and then browse to the exact same folder location, the ITunes browser will not see or recognize the ITunes library files even though I can see them clearly there when browsing the Mac HD in Vista.

Does anyone have any advice?

I tried checking the "Share Library" option in ITunes preferences in Mac OSX but still ITunes in Vista can't/won't see or recognize the library file exists in the folder where it is stored.

Thanks
