I have a 2019 15” MBP that I just bought. I also have a domain that purchased thru GSuite Business which has 2FA enabled. There is a way to be able to setup app passwords for Mac/iOS mail apps/etc so you don’t have to keep authenticating the account with 2FA. I created an app password for my Mac, went to add the account using my email address, but when I input the app password I created it fails. I called Google support and had then check settings on their end and everything looked ok. Went thru the process again w/ Google on the phone but same thing. It only works when I use the account password.
Now here’s the thing, I remember seeing an article on here about the Mail app popping up randomly (this happened to me in the past on my older MBP but was resolved). I’m pretty certain the article said it was fixed for now by using an app password for gmail accounts, hence why I created one. Has anyone else had this issue with GSuite domain accounts? Has anyone been able to resolve why the app password does not get accepted? I also tried it on Outlook 2016 (the tech said he had a similar prob with someone else on a Windows PC and got it to work by some weird convoluted way) but it failed as well. Not sure if it’s a Mac mail or Google issue. Thanks.
