Hi there

I use Mac Mail with my Outlook.com account. For some reason when I sent a mail on my MacBook, 2 copies shows up in the sent items. These 2 copies show up when I look on my phone and on Outlook.com.

This behaviour doesn't pccur when I send from my iPhone.

Any reason for this that anyone can think of?

Thanks!

This is a known issue for quite some time with Outlook.com. I advice you to edit the email settings to keep sent emails in your local sent folder. Emails are still kept duplicated (one in your local folder, other in your actual Outlook sent folder).
But that’s the only way to prevent duplicated items to be stored twice in your Outlook account. Note that this does not send two emails to your recipient.

Thanks - how do I change the settings as you described?
