Mac Mail - Can you sort by column again

Has anyone tried mac mail? Can you sort by column? sender? title?...etc

You’re not imagining things: Apple did remove the column option from macOS Mail

I use outlook mostly so maybe I am missing the difference

Yes, you can sort by any column you choose ...

My wife is upset that column view takes up so much of her screen. When she works on organizing mail, she has me set it up, then set the side view (which turns off when I do that), and when she's done, set it back to the narrow old standard.

My iMac is too old for Big Sur, so I have the easier-to-use Mail.
