.Mac Mail going nuts

I'm suddenly getting hundreds of emails from both garbage & legitimate senders into Mail on my dot Mac account, all identical, all time stamped at the same moment. I try to open them and they get deleted instantly, only to be replaced by another. The Mobile Me account (which I note mirrors the dot Mac account) is identically affected. Quitting & restarting Mail seems to "cure" it for a while.

I don't know if it's my current connection or related to Mobile Me transition processes, but it's kinda scary to get about two or three emails a second without end...

I think you are right in assuming that it's due to "transitioning weridness."

I also have a .mac account, but am not experiencing what you are!

Hopefully it settles down of its own accord

I tried to access my web gallery... I get a forbidden, and my friends get a time out...

yup, me too. Really annoying as I'd talked to people I went on vacation with recently about uploading photos to the web galleries so I could dl them straight into iPhoto..now it doesn't bloody work!
