Mac Mail is Astoundingly Slow at Search

This app has become almost unusable for me. It takes minutes to run a search on mail. Anyone else exp this?

Results are instant for me, even going back 15 years.

I used to have this exp too. But lately not so much

Perhaps deleting your Envelope Index files would help? I know that used to solve search issues in the past.

Nope, almost instantaneously but I don’t use email as a filing system. My inbox only has about 30 messages because I haven’t cleaned things up lately.

Mines not quite as bad as the OP, but search does take quite a while for me too. I do have a ton of saved emails so I’m sure that contributes somewhat but I feel like it was much faster before the big redesign a while ago.
