Can I scream help now? Frustrated and feeling old. I am NOT a computer person. This Mac Desktop huge computer has done fabulously for three years and suddenly yesterday I noticed I was not receiving mail from AOL, only from the Mac addresses. It was set up in the beginning to sync it all in and has done so for three years.

I ran the connection doctor and it says all is connected fine. All those codes are correct for the SMTP or whatever it is... I have closed down and restarted the system and still no go. All the set up is showing to be correct. What else can I do? THe connection doc says all is good, connected and running, but there are triangles with question marks next to my aol addresses and no mail coming through. The little circle thing just spins non-stop next to the AOL line never loading, trying to do something.

I truly hate to have to call APPLE help at the prices they charge.

I use FIREFOX and always have. I do have CHROME loaded to use for BLOGGER because they are having issues with images loading from FIREFOX to Blogger. Firefox is my default.

Thanks.

Laurie

Yes to correct name etc

Yes, I have had it all set up working fine for three years. It stopped yesterday loading AOL... like I mentioned the connection DOC says it is working. There is a little triangle to the side with a question mark next to the AOL addresses. If I press get mail.. it spins and spins but nothing loads.

I actually found that info this morning and rechecked everything.
