Received an email with inline photos to my late 2009 Imac with os Yosemite. There was a total of 39 pictures and only an empty box showed up with a + in it and the lines at the side whic shows it was forwarded. My mid 2012 MBP os Sierra shows the photos as well as Thunderbird mail on both my MBP and Imac.

Load remote content is checked. I have run rebuild mailboxes, unchecked and checked "load remote content" and rebooted under both conditions but nothing worked.

I did an internet search and could not find a fix.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks

Were those images attachments, or links? "Load remote content" only affects links. If the photos were attachments, then were the attachments actually attached?

They were links. Attachments works fine.
Thanks,
