Hello all,

Probably a daft question as a recent switcher but....

Should I be doing any regular maintenance to my mac? I used to be continually doing defrags and other housekeeping jobs on my pc - are there any sensible things to do to make sure my mac stays running as sweetly as it does now?

Thanks!

Tim

You don't have to think to much about maintenance on a Mac. Get MainMenu or OnyX or something so you're ready to repair permissions, run periodical maintenance scripts, etc.

Defragging is totally unnecessary, unless you work with very large files, like video editing or similar, and even then it's rarely necessary...

Welcome to the wonderfully easy life of Macs! :D
