Your best course of action is to call and speak with them. Not sure how any of us can have experience with getting something before Christmas. We would have to test it the same as you. It will probably depend on availability since there is still plenty of time to ship.
From my experience buying my MBA from them, I wouldn't bet on them fulfilling an order in the time they promised. I paid for Saturday delivery on mine and even after assurance from their phone customer service that it will be delivered so, it arrived the following Monday. I tried getting my Saturday delivery money back from them ($21) and I only got promised a partial refund ($10) which to this day I'm still waiting to receive.
They have great prices but I'm not sure I'd ever get anything from them if I was in a hurry.
Edit: Not trying to keep people from buying from them. At this point there should be time to get your Mac in time. I just wouldn't try them any closer to Christmas.

I recently ordered an MBA from them. It arrived in 6 business days, or 10 days in total (13" 4GB RAM). Though, I was explicitly promised 2-5 business days shipping. It arrived a day later than the latest day they said it would arrive.. not too concerned but I wish they wouldn't tell me promises they can't keep. Especially when I was made to pay extra for shipping ($18). I got a great deal though....
Hello. I ordered a 13" 1.86 w/ 4gb of RAM from macmall on Nov. 17 around 3pm eastern time. I received my air Nov 18th, around 2pm. I chose fedex overnight, simply because for whatever reason it was free.
Out of curiosity, I went to macmall just now and configured a 13" mba just like mine to see if the prices had changed. They hadn't. However, to my surprise if you continue to the point of entering your zip to figure shipping, it looks like overnight is FREE again! Order now, and enjoy.
Edit: On the far right side of macmall.com at the top under the "electronics" menu tab, there is a link to a map that details out the last day to order items in order to get them by dec 24th.

I ordered a base 13" mba w/4GB on Dec7. They offered me free overnight shipping. I received the mba in great shape on Dec 8. I couldn't be happier
Ordered mine Nov. 12th and received it 13th. Paid for Sat. delivery and had no problems at all. I was lucky they had the Ultimate in stock.
I'd like to point out that my MBA shipped promptly. It showed as being in my local fedex center around 5am Saturday morning, it just never went out for delivery. I'm willing to bet someone or somehow my Saturday delivery order was changed to a regular delivery. So yeah, when they get the shipping right, your Mac should make it home in time. I just don't trust them one bit about getting it right.
