The Apple DL-DVI one has a lot of bugs.

I'm pretty sure at $100 its more than just a cable, and thats where the problems arise I think. That big box at the end must have some electronics inside of it to convert displayport to dual-link DVI. Thats why I think waiting for this proper mini-displayport to displayport cable is a more elegant solution - that is literally just a cable.
