Good day all,

I was wondering if the Mini 1.1 will support an intel 5300 wireless N card? I have tried the original g card along with the stock N card and both still lockup and drop connection. The only way to bring it back is to reboot my Mini. So now I am looking at intel to see if that will work better. My question is will that card work in my mini?

No it wont work, the original Mac Mini G4 (PowerMac 10,1) uses an Apple Airport card and not a mini PCIe card like the Intel 5300. The newer Mac Mini's also don't use standard mini PCIe cards.

There is also the issue of drivers, and the Intel 5300 is not supported. I do own one and have tried using it with OSX on another machine.

An option you might want to look into would be a wireless ethernet bridge, as that would work with any machine that has an ethernet port.

The other option would be a USB wireless card, though I don't think many have drivers for OSX.
