Will this look ok on a 42" Plasma?

From various posts ive seen, getting a MacMini to hook up to a LCD/Plasma tends to be a challenge. I dont mind that as such but my Tv can only go upto 1024x768 so want to make sure that its going to look good before I part with my cash.

Cheers

If you have any other mac's then why don't you just hook them up and see what their like. Or try a PC?

Since it sounds like you already have the TV, why not try to connect something else that can do 1024x768 (another Mac, a laptop, the computer you're posting from, a PC, whatever)?

Im at work right now, but I think thats what Im going to have to do.

I'll drag another PC and hook it up later and see how it looks! Simple solution really!

Desktop/folders look fine so thats a good start.

Movies however :( Massive black bars top and bottom. These arent there when I play them via Xbox 360.

Any suggestions?

First off, what source are you watching from, dvd, encoded movie?

Second what is the screen ratio of the movie: 1:66, 2:35 etc.

If it is dvd, what program are you using to watch the movie in?
If it is encoded, what program are you using to watch the movie in?

What is the screen resolution your tv is set to?

Its an .avi playing from my external HD..

I was watching it with Windows Media Player.

Tv is set to 1024 x 768
