So, I'm going to buy an mac mini (the middle one) with i7, should I buy 8gb ram from apple or should I buy it from an store? (Store is cheaper but does apple.com got higher quality?

Can I use my 42 lcd tv to the apple mac mini with hdmi cable or does it need to be an mac display?

Best regards

You can buy RAM anywhere you choose. Apple doesn't manufacture RAM and you can get much better pricing elsewhere.

Yes, you can connect your TV to the Mac mini via HDMI. It works fine.

Thanks for the fast answer, i was wondering that apple take 180 euro for 8gb ram and some stores sell 8gb ram for 35 euro?
Is an 35 euro ram (8gb) good or not or should I search for an higher price?

Some great sources for Mac-compatible RAM are OWC and newegg.com, to name just a couple. There are many reputable sources with widely varying prices. Apple greatly overcharges for RAM, so don't let their prices be a guide. There is no such thing as "Apple RAM", so any reputable brand is fine.

RAM is RAM is RAM. So long as you get the correct RAM for your computer the brand doesn't matter. macsales.com and crucial make it pretty foolproof to get the correct RAM for your computer. It's also easy to install in the current Mac minis.

I have used and tested all of the ram above in 2011 mac minis they all work. I have upgraded over 50 2011 mac minis with the gskill ram 1 bad pair out of 52.

all others sticks above have been perfect but only 2 to 10 used. to the mods this is for educational purposes. I am not offering to add ram into mac minis for forum members. they can do it on their own.

Mac minis use laptop ram.

I realize that you were asking about the price in euros.

If this seller takes 40 euro for 2 sticks I use the samsung, but all the ones lived here should work.

Will this RAM work OK with the 2011 Mac Mini server?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004Y4XAAK/sr=8-1/qid=1321364536/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&qid=1321364536&sr=8-1&seller=

Also, is any performance increase worth the extra £15 over the 1333MHz RAM?

It's known to work on the server model but nobody has tested it on the mid level model yet.

The performance increase was not that impressive in 64bit mode so I doubt its worth the price increase when compared to 1333mhz ram.
