I recently bought a 2006 Mac Mini to keep at work to do a couple of tasks. But every time I boot it up at work, it locks up shortly after log in. It works fine at home and I've had it running for days on end. But as soon as I bring it back to work, I would be lucky to get a couple of minutes use from it.

It doesn't happen on safe boot, but I have no apps starting at login and currently no third party apps.

I did upgrade the CPU to a C2D, which went smoothly and i'm very competent. And it's running OS X 10.6.8.

Any thoughts?
